Texa Notarization Fees
Acknowledgments/Proof of Deed: $10 for the first signature, $1 for each additional signature
Jurats (Oaths with Signatures): $10 per signature
Oaths or Affirmations (No Signature): $10 per certificate
Certificates Under Seal: $10 per certificate
Protesting a Bill/Note: $4 for the protest, plus $1 for each notice
Deposition Witness Oath: $10
Remote Online Notarization (RON): Additional maximum fee of $25
Key Considerations
Optional and Travel Fees: If you are using a mobile notary, they may charge additional fees for travel or service, which are
separate from the statutory fees, provided they are reasonable and agreed upon in advance.

Important Texas-Specific Exceptions
Wills: These are not required to be notarized in Texas to be valid, but they must be notarized to become self proving
Government Documents: Texas notaries cannot notarize certified copies of birth certificates, death certificates or marriage licenses
Blank Forms: Notaries cannot notarize documents that are incomplete or contain blank fields
Always ensure you bring a valid, government-issued photo ID to the appointment.
